Never Knew These Cycle Tours In India Existed! #ForHer

India is the land of the mystic beauty and awe. It is a vivid dream from which no traveller wants to awake. It is the destination where one can find solace and peace in things he considered small. It is the place where happiness is not measured but is like an incessant running stream. It is abode to thousands of Gods and is always willing to accommodate more because for Indians "atithi devo bhava" . But often we do generalise travelling with visiting. Visiting to India is a lot different than travelling to India. If you did the first you have not felt the real essence of this country but if you did the latter you have given true meaning to your journey. Many a travellers visit to India to search for something new but they leave empty handed. Only those achieve their milestones that are ready to travel through every milestone and travel the roads less travelled. We are talking about cycle tourism in India. Yes, you heard it right. India on bicycle, isn't it a fascinating

To the many firsts! My First Snowfall Experience in Manali

Image
Have you ever felt that longing for that feeling to be sufficient? That longing for "skipped a heartbeat" moment? or That one moment where a trickle from your eyes makes everything blur yet so real? That one moment was when I experienced snowfall for the first time! I know it sounds too dramatic for a snowfall experience. But hear me out when I say that it is going to be 26 years of my life, some 16 years of traveling (of course with parents in the initial ones). Visited all kinds of landscapes, - from beaches in the South to Deserts of Rajasthan, to Mountains and cityscapes. But never snowfall! My heart was all pumped up to experience my first snowfall.  The reason for me being too extra for the snowfall is because I had pictured it so much that they want, the craving was nowhere dying. I know sometimes social media kills everything. Each moment or emotion you would want to experience gets smashed from the regular Instagram stories and overdone reels! But my emotions towards

Down the Memory Lane: Revisiting Gangtok

"I had so many plans...this year was meant to be my year...!" cribbed me sitting aimlessly lying on the sofa, with the night suit on, nicely champi-ed hair, and mom's special tea being served. This could have been a blessing for me,  BC! (Before Corona, I meant this, genuinely!)  I wanted to visit home for some good 15/20 days. However, work never allowed, and above that long weekends were always prioritized for some nice gateways. One thing that the year 2020 has taught me is to never crib for what you do not have. Each time you spend is a blissful memory in the making, which will be reminisced by you in the future. Each word written above is to be treated as a carving on the stone! What have we travel-enthusiasts doing all this year? #Throwbacks ! Ain't we? Well, I call it remembering the good old days. While cribbing on the sofa, I picked up my phone, and with that terribly frowned face, stretching all my face muscles against the gravity started shuffling throug

I Travelled Amidst Pandemic! Guide and Details

“TRAVEL and FOOD are two industries, which will not see a recession ever!” “Recession ho ya Inflation shaadiya to hoti rahengi na? Log unpe laakhon croro kharadchte rahenge na?”   (Whether its recession or inflation, people will get married, right? They will keep on spending lakhs and crores on it, right?)  This one is a famous dialogue from one of my favorite Bollywood movies, Band Baja Baraat.  I cannot comment on the latter, but the former holds a solid stance. No one saw this pandemic or any such situation coming. No one can ever predict it. Of course, it was after the pandemic that there are stories of “interpretations”, “predictions” that were made years ago. To be honest, I neither like reading about it nor believing in it. Now that the situation is in front of us, everyone is speculating about the odds on the future of travel. The travel industry is certainly going to take a lot of time to the brim. Being a passionate traveler, it takes a lot of courage to accept this truth

Take Time To Relax! You Deserve It

Travel is never a tiresome activity. We do not get tired when you are doing something you love from the core of your heart. I am not a full-time traveler. I work at a corporate organization, so for me traveling is an entirely different experience. However, I have never seen traveling as an escape from my work. It has always been a dream for me. I love traveling that's it. I can never explain what traveling means to me. It is the calmness of the sea, the strength of the rocky mountains, the movement of the roads, the serendipity of the snow-clad mountains, the satisfaction of a chatterbox when she communicates a local, the list can never end. The enthusiasm travel fills in me cannot be defined, however, post lockdown a lot of things have changed in me. I have seen my perspective toward life-changing. I am a hell of a judgmental person, that's changing, you never know I might become a full-time traveler - just saying, maybe a hint. There are a lot of times I have been ske

Here's How I Am Making The Best Use Of Lockdown

Covid-19 popularly known as the coronavirus entered our lives so casually and changed it drastically. The lockdown has brought our lives to a halt, a stop. For me, it has already been a month of lockdown. My office inculcated the work from home practice much before the official lockdown in India. In the initial time of the days, I was happy, moving around my flat, and doing my stuff. Little did I know that this was going to be a huge issue all around the world. The world is infected with the coronavirus. I had my tickets already booked for my home in the first week of April since my friend was getting engaged. Coronavirus canceled that too. Well, I am not sorry about it, since that was a much-needed step to be taken. What actually shook me was how all of a sudden our life has come to a halt? What has our life come to? So, below is a very personal note/write-up/understanding and observations. "Slow Down! You are running too fast in your life!" "He has grown too
