Take Time To Relax! You Deserve It

Travel is never a tiresome activity. We do not get tired when you are doing something you love from the core of your heart. I am not a full-time traveler. I work at a corporate organization, so for me traveling is an entirely different experience. However, I have never seen traveling as an escape from my work. It has always been a dream for me. I love traveling that's it. I can never explain what traveling means to me. It is the calmness of the sea, the strength of the rocky mountains, the movement of the roads, the serendipity of the snow-clad mountains, the satisfaction of a chatterbox when she communicates a local, the list can never end.

The enthusiasm travel fills in me cannot be defined, however, post lockdown a lot of things have changed in me. I have seen my perspective toward life-changing. I am a hell of a judgmental person, that's changing, you never know I might become a full-time traveler - just saying, maybe a hint.

Coping with lockdown anxities

There are a lot of times I have been skeptical about my own decisions. This irks me to the most, since I take a lot of time, do a lot of calculations, even when it comes to my life decisions. All of a sudden talking about life decisions? Why? Calm down Aanya! Take a deep breath.

Inhale...
Exhale...

Inhale...
Ex...Oh, wait...I need to relax, right?
Of course, duh! Let me just meditate like all the people on the internet are saying.

Wait.
What?

I need to relax. I deserve this. I have done your share of part and now I can take my time. So, how do I do that? I mean what do I do?

Nature. Nature is the answer. I see the blue color of the sky, the greenery of the trees around me, the cool moonlight, and I relax. Maybe that's the reason I travel? To relax, to explore, to explore - MYSELF.

Maybe. But that's decisive. And I do not want that.

You know sometimes there's a lot of calculations you do. And especially at this time when you cannot step out of the house. You feel anxious, you have anxiety attacks. But you need to relax. There are days when I sleep all day. The past two days, I have been feeling very low, maybe I am living alone. But I just felt like sleeping. My days went in just a snap of my fingers. It was on my own that I pushed myself to do something to get out of my bed, this laziness.

So, this is what I realized in these two days. You deserved these two days. These days made you realize this isn't you. I took two days naps in breaks and I could not continue for the third day.

So, if you are an extrovert you are claiming to be, let me tell you two things:

  1.  Stop complaining. You are an extrovert right? If you cannot go outside, you can surely not stay idle for a long period.
  2.  Give yourself two days max and RELAX. You will certainly push yourself to do something meaningful and entertaining somehow.

So, RELAX this is the time. And believe me you deserve this.

  6. True. We all deserve it. If we don't rest and relax, we will all be consumed by all these stresses. Honestly, I really can't wait to go hiking again. and be one with nature while watching the sea of clouds from the mountain top. <3

  11. I think there is such a big pressure to make something out of this quarantine, as if it was simply us wasting our time. But relaxing, as you said, is really important. It always is, but now more than ever. This is not a vacation, we are not being lazy. People are dying around us and that takes a toll in our productivity and our ability to be proactive. We need to cut ourselves some slack!
