Face To Face - A Reality Check Much Needed

Image
Before I begin with anything, this is my first post on the blog after months and there is a new name. Well, it was just recently when I did the most childish thing of my life. I forgot to pay the annual fees for my blog website. Yaayyee! Can I be more foolish? I could have restored the website, but it was costing me a whooping 7k extra, which I could not afford. This is a reality! Yes, no blogger would let you know that but me. Anyways, this blog isn’t about boasting about myself. It is about facing reality. Yes, there are 100s of people who have been letting the difference between real and unreal out. Alas! Social media and the well-framed faces make it really difficult to not fall for it. I have been an Instagram and social media addict. Why I specially mentioned Instagram, you ask? Because I am constantly on it, I close my phone, keep it aside and five minutes, I am back on it. I keep on refreshing my screen sometimes – when Instagram keeps on telling me “You’re

That 17 Hours Train Journey - Storytelling

Image
Its all about the Journey. Definitely, the destination, the stay, the sinking in the atmosphere, ambiance is going to be "The Thing" - it is definitely going to fill your social media feeds and all look colorful and uber cool. But hey! But to me it was, it is, and will always be the journey that excites me to another level. Also, I will admit off lately I have been traveling a lot this year - something I did not much expected, rather I did not wanted to break the jinx even if I expected my life to be this way - so no complains at all . And with traveling I was usually taking flights. There is definitely time saver with flights but I did not realize that I was missing something in my journey, until I took a 17 hours long train journey recently in one of my trips. I have been loving the storyteller in me, I used to observe people a lot but did not ever mentioned in front of anyone. I had no reason, no way to do that. I somehow did not knew the art to pull it out on my blo

Diving into the Extravaganza - Events, Concerts & Fests

Image
It sounds all hunky-dory when spoken about stepping out of your house to start a life in a new city. There is a different plan going in your head all over. It begins from making new friends to traveling to new places, partying and attending every concert/fest/event possible. But when reality hits you, it hits you hard! I would not say it is way too difficult, but it is not at all easy. Firstly, just throw out of your mind that you are going to not miss your family! Second, you have to get your shit together in order to lead a simple life in here. Definitely, you can attend parties, events and fest. But attending all of them is a way too much to be fulfilled. I have always thought that living independently, rather more precisely, away from my parents would make me learn the real facts in a much better way and even faster, I guess. So, I always had in my mind that things will be not as beautiful as social media showcases. However, attending fest and events were surely on my lis

6 Books To Read When Traveling

Image
Surround yourself with positive vibes they say, Little did they know positive is in silence, I say, it is in books, a mere pleasure in turning each page, A sense of satisfaction in weaving the stories left back. I have always loved traveling. I never travel to write blogs - indeed it is an additional perk. Also, a perk just because I love to write them down, the experience, and ultimately to tell stories. Nevertheless, my love for travel has always been pure. Initially, I feared and was skeptical for traveling alone. However, when I did, there was a lot of time with me during the time that I was traveling. And I always loved reading books, but I fell more for it as I initially used it to pass my time and then eventually I fell completely for it. So, since we are talking about books and before we jump into the Top 6 favorite reads, let us begin with a short story. Long ago I could never stay at my place for more than certain periods of time. And whenever I had nothing to

One Of The Sweetest City I have Ever Been To - Bhopal

It was a busy day, a packed day at work. I had all marked on my post it's on my laptop. The to-do list read everything from what I had to do, to what time I had to complete it. I packed my laptop, had everything in my bag that I might need. I had cash ready, some change, some coins clinking in the small pocket and some in my jeans. I had made up my mind to wind up the things on time so that I could leave on a good note and on time. Why all these preparations, you ask? I have a train to catch for my next trip. Boarding the train, a sleeper class thins time - just to save some bucks here and there. I thought I will be able to manage everything. it wasn't that I always boarded a flight for a trip. However, I will be honest that I was a little skeptical as soon as I got on to my seat. But somehow managed as it was a late-night train journey, I was tired, and everything else was fine. I woke up by 9 and then slept again by 9.30 - this sleep cycle ride continued until 12. So, my

Traveler's Diary - How Do I Manage My Job and Traveling?

Image
Hi Guys, It's been a while that I have sat down to write something for my readers, which is a one on one conversation. Of course, here, we could only communicate through comments and mails, and social media DMs. However, ever since I have been regular with my blog posts *touchwood* - it has just been a month and a half with the same, I have been constantly hounding myself - creating new ideas, new ways to communicate or bring out my stories to you. I have never been the quintessential travel blogger, who jots down the Where, How, and What to the travel - rather I had always tried to present my blogs in a storytelling format. Why - is the focus of my blogs. Reaching out to you the places which might be the most talked-about destination like the Taj or to the mountains Himachal Pradesh , or an ordinary place like a Heritage Walk , or catching a Sunset. I have always taken my blog as a medium to express my feelings, emotions, and providing my words a way to endorse them such a

THE LOVE FOR MOUNTAINS - FEAT. PRAYER FLAGS

It's been days I have met you, It's seems years I haven't sensed you, The sight is blurred, it's hazy, Missing you, they say, you are going crazy. Why do you like to go to the mountains? You trying to be a saint? Lead a saintly life? What is it that makes you happy traveling to the mountain s? These are certain questions which could be asked only by the people who have never been to the mountains, or they have a completely different way to see life (Of course, why curse them?) Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are the two prominent places, that I have been to and have thoroughly enjoyed myself amidst the mountains, hilltops, clouds and the complete landscape just leaves you speechless. It's the peaceful environment and the beauty of the nature that attracts you and in a way holds you back. Today, this blog is completely dedicated to my love for mountains. My love for the surreal nature that has played a major role in my life - stay, patience, and
