Cafebility: Café With A Difference

Image
2017: It was Hell of a Year!  Started with my very first journey to Varanasi and then the list continues, which of course can be read by you all if you haven't already. The year has given me best of memories and has been a blessing.  So, as you all must be reading, I recently went to Varanasi, yet again, and this time I promised myself to visit the Holy City just like any other traveler and not a locality! Waking up in the early at 5 am just to get the perfect glimpse of the sunrise from the Ganges to enjoying the "gullies" of Banaras. I did it all! From enjoying the street food to the Pan Banaras Wala.  I found my Favorite Corner At the Cafebility! The city has definitely evolved with time. It has now got a huge number of Cafes and Restaurants for the youth and locals to have a gala time. So, I went to Cafebility - serves coffee with a difference. The cafe is a definitely different themed cafe, a cafe where you are not just served with coffee but provides the physically

Banaras - A "Sunny" Affair On A Chilly Day

Image
"Autograph is more meaningful than an Autobiography" Just before the sunrise the tranquility of the sky and the river is most appeasing and the saffron beam of light makes the depth manifested. Waking up with a purpose to catch the glimpse of the sunrise - thats where serenity meets peace. Fort on the banks of the River Ganges overlooking the stream of water body. Sneak Peak: Early mornings in the winters amidst the chilly breeze and then arrives the star of the day. Praying to the Rising Sun :  Devotees after a plunge in the Holy River bracing the Sunrise. Always charged, Always Positive:  The sunrise rendering the River Ganges Saffron. Like I always say: When the Sun rises it paints everything Dark! The Siberian guests adding to the beauty of sunrise, just like an exquisite piece of jewelry on the neck of a woman. For more Picture Stories, Check out: The Speaking Eye

SLOW - The Transformation

Image
Homecoming for a traveler is always a wonderful experience. Why? Because it is after I return from my travel escapade, I realize what a wonderful time I had during my last trip. Also what made me chose this picture as the #SLOW; Spotlight Of The Week , was the extensive transformation Lucknow has gone through in the past decade. The development of the infrastructure, the roads, and the budding entertainment culture in the city made me ardent to go on a street walk one fine day. I did not set any theme in my mind before stepping out from my house, what I usually do. I took my camera and kick-started my journey to capture some beautiful moments and frames. I went form Old Lucknow to the new one. Definitely the archaeological wonders of Lucknow left me spellbound like any traveler and I was happy to capture certain frames, which were unknown to me before. Glad I wet on this street walk journey! Later in the night when I came by this view of Marine Drive on my way to home. The co

Traveler's Diary: Put Your Phone Down, Please.

Traveling   or no Traveling Breakfast is one meal that I used to often skip. Why? I am just like most of you, sleeping late, waking up with an annoying alarm clock. By the time I wake up the time of breakfast is either gone, or I do not feel like eating anything! I guess this is the youngster syndrome I am suffering from. Do you too? “With time being, I have realized one thing I have made the poorest decision of choosing sleep over breakfast, every time.”  Indiscipline life, excessive social media usage, and a large period of time spent on the phone. Reading this statement, you might feel I am talking like your mother and would remind you of the memes trolling about mom's relating every other thing to your "Phone". I too have spent hours laughing on such memes and have a great time reading them even today. However, recently while I was on a solo trip an incident took place, which forced me to think about my irregular schedule.  While I was on my Solo Tr

The British Residency -The Ruins of The Archaeological Wonder

"Poetry and Flamboyant Words won’t ever be enough to Admire the Beauty Of A monument" Time Travel For Her Becomes So Easy Witnessing The Ruins Of The Monument .  Location: British Residency The lives, the conditions, and the state of the people are far from the reality told or better known to us.  Is it just a door? Or an Escape. A connector? Or a Buffoon Trap. The surrounding of the British Residency is an area with lush greenery and pleasant views.  The marks of the Bullets and the Canon Balls, along with the ruins of the archaeological wonder gives way to so many unsaid stories. The Serene walk way in the British Residency is no less than a bliss.  Check out the other The Speaking Eye here!

SLOW - The Pillars Of Life

Image
The geometrical pattern and depth this picture presents is something that fascinates. On every such occasion, the intriguing thought leads to imprint them on my lenses. Pathways with pillars on either side curved with textured and painted boundaries having echoed voices from travelers evoke sheer infatuation. Let judgment be bygone in the depth of truth. Rajasthan, a unique land in many ways is also a home to Mahavir J i , a Jain pilgrimage. In the name of the Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara (enlightened soul), the temple was built around the 18th century in the bank of the lost river. Amazement surrounds you as you walk past the passage on the backside of the temple with sharp, creative, and imaginative carving in each corner. Although in real world path leads to a few shops famous for “Rajasthani Handloom” and “Raksha Potlis”, it led me to the parallel world. Change is the only mathematical constant. It was just a matter of a year when the front of the cameras was my fascination a

Traveler's Diary: Every Sunset Witnesses A Sunrise

The days of December are amazing and they are finally here! Why am I excited about it? Well, there is something about the chilly breeze, the rare rays of the sun, and the freezing nose within has gotten me to the parallel world to witness some of the magical moments of life. Magical doesn't mean only the good times, but the time of despair and distress that pushes me every time to cheer up! I find myself very lucky to have been born to wonderful parents. The freedom I possess is a dream to many. A girl was born to over-enthusiastic parents who had their individual dreams for their first child. One treated him like a boy and the love showered upon was unexplainable whereas the other wanted her to be independent. What was common between the two was to let her posses her dream - her dream to fly high, her dream to do whatever she fits her.  People close to me know how fluctuating my career decisions were. From being a doctor to an architect-engineer to a fashion designe

SLOW - Capturing The Streets

Image
Non-residents of Lucknow are having lunch in a much better fashion than many of us hanging around the Puri-Sabjhi hawkers across the city. Does this speak of our culture and importance of healthy meal and decent style?   Well, I happened to capture this artistic steel in which 3 women, (actually, I should call them business women) are having their lunch outside their makeshift store in Charbagh. Indeed, the image belongs to Tibetan Market of winter wear in Charbagh , Lucknow.   Sheer hard work, sweating struggle in convincing the Lucknowites for their products, and amazingly logical selling pitch, all was jaw-dropping and truly transforming for me. “Ilahi mera jee aaye aaye” (The desires of my heart lie, my God) was playing in the back of my mind when I got my bike out to indulge in some street photography gig. When I returned, my mind was playing, “Robaroooo roshani...hai…!!! (I'm face to face with light).   To each his own. Wondering how the beholder in you would percei

Travel Edit: Winter Travel Essentials

Image
“I love traveling!” Did I tell you something new? The ONLY “new” is that it really does not matter to me what weather it is while I am traveling. The part where the weather plays a great role is “what do I pack?” Striking a balance between travel and fashion holds extreme importance. Why? I believe many of the “self-acclaimed travelers” would love to adorn stylish ensembles to pose for their pictures . Well, I don’t find anything gross in it, but smart packing is a much appreciated, I believe. Also, you cannot carry too many fancy clothes when you are traveling. According to me, travel wardrobe should be warm, cozy, comfortable, and light at the same time. By the end of the day, it is you who is going to lift that bag up on your shoulders, girl! So below I showcase you the 5 Travel Edit for Winters . Essential #1: Sweatshirts Do I even need to tell you? However, for the style factor, carry a thick warm sweatshirt it is super stylish and is very comfortable while you
